The AlfredCamera Home Security app transforms your spare mobile devices into a versatile home security system. It allows users to repurpose an old phone as a camera and monitor live video feeds from another device, effectively creating a DIY surveillance setup. This app provides essential features like 24/7 live streaming and instant motion-triggered alerts, enabling users to keep an eye on their home, pets, or children from anywhere using WiFi, 3G, or LTE connectivity.
Transforming Devices into a Home Security System
AlfredCamera enables users to create a home security system by utilizing two mobile devices. One device, typically an old or spare phone, is designated as the camera and placed in the desired monitoring area. The second device acts as the viewer, allowing you to access and control the camera feed. This setup provides a cost-effective alternative to traditional CCTV systems, leveraging existing hardware. The app functions smoothly over WiFi, 3G, and LTE networks, ensuring connectivity from various locations.
Real-time Monitoring and Smart Alerts
The app provides a 24/7 live stream feature, allowing users to watch high-quality live video from their camera device at any time and from anywhere. A key capability is the Smart Intruder Alert system, which sends instant notifications to the viewing device whenever movement is detected by the camera. This helps users quickly respond to potential security events.
Interactive Communication and Enhanced Visibility
AlfredCamera includes a Walkie-Talkie function, enabling two-way audio communication through the camera device. This can be used to deter intruders, interact with visitors remotely, or soothe a baby or pet from another location. For improved visibility in challenging light conditions, the app offers a Low-Light Filter, enhancing the clarity of the video feed at night. Additionally, the 360 Camera feature allows users to cover a larger area by utilizing both lenses of the camera device, providing a broader field of view.
Specialized Detection and Security Tools
AlfredCamera incorporates advanced detection capabilities beyond simple motion. The app offers general Sound Detection, allowing users to be alerted to various audio cues in the monitored environment. For specific needs, the Baby Cry Detection feature rings your viewing phone like a real call when it hears a baby crying, providing a distinct alert even if you’re not actively watching the monitor. Furthermore, Personalized Detection enables training the camera’s AI on your own footage, helping it learn normal patterns and reduce false alerts from environmental factors like shadows or swaying branches. To actively respond to events, a Siren can be activated remotely. Users can also utilize digital Zoom to get a closer look at details within the live feed.
